Tale of an achievement “JUPE CULOTTE”

On Monday, June 3, 2024, the birth of the Italian Republic will be celebrated at the Vivaldi Theater with the play “Jupe Culotte.”
The event includes two free events: the first at 10 a.m. for students of the Istituti Comprensivi I. Calvino, G. D'Annunzio and the IPSEOA Institute “Elena Cornaro,” and the second at 8:30 p.m. for the general public.
“Jupe Culotte” tells the story of two women who experience a significant social change in the postwar period: the introduction of the right to vote for all and the possibility for women to actively participate in Italian politics. The lives of the protagonists intertwine precisely on June 2, 1946, outside the polling stations, and their dialogue offers a vivid and genuine portrait of life in those difficult years, a reflection on the value of the right to vote and a way to remember the fundamental principles of our Constitution.
