Jesolo is in an ideal geographical position to discover Veneto, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. The most important destinations of the region are all near, a wonderful opportunity to visit famous historical cities (Venice, Padua, Verona), and to see natural landmarks (the islands of the Lagoon, Cortina and the Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Lake of Garda). Jesolo is not just a holiday resort but it’s part of a wider and diverse territory that, with Venice as its finest example, can offer tourists the opportunity to discover the works of extraordinary architects: the villas of the Riviera del Brenta made by Palladio, and castles and fortresses as witnesses to a glorious past. Cities which inspired artists and their immortal works, like Verona which is world-renowned for hosting the house of Romeo and Juliet and the Arena. Cities hosting famous museums and art galleries (Guggenheim Venice), prestigious universities and research centres where culture and art periodically come together for great events (Biennale). Veneto is the cradle of a worldwide famous craftsmanship as in the islands of Venice: Burano, home of the most precious glass, and Torcello, home of the oldest laces. The hills of Asolo and of the Prosecco, home of worldwide famous wines, the valleys of the Venetian Lagoon and the Adriatic Sea that provide the raw material for the dishes of the ancient popular culture.

Venezia 46km

Jesolo is an ideal base for visiting Venice. Easy connections to Venice, the lagoon islands and the cities of art.

The shortest route is Jesolo - Punta Sabbioni (15 kms from us), where you can leave your car and take the motorboat that departs every 30 minutes to Piazza San Marco in Venice.

You can also visit the islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello, real gems of the Republic of Venice, a still splendid city just as it has been for over 1000 years.

Treviso 43km

A charming town in the Veneto plain, Treviso still retains a noble appearance. With its striking centre lying between the canals, and small beaches, it has kept intact the magic of a city steeped in history. An absolute must is a visit to the three hills: corresponding to the Duomo, Piazza dei Signori and Piazza Sant'Andrea, on which the city was allegedly built.
The Ca Carraresi palace in Treviso regularly hosts internationally renowned exhibitions.
Sampling the local food and the famous Treviso radicchio accompanied by an excellent Prosecco from the area is an absolute must.

Padova 78km

Home to an ancient university, evidence of Padua’s glorious cultural and artistic past is everywhere, which is why it attracts tourists from all over the world. Padua is also known worldwide as the city of Saint Anthony.
In Padua you will find the famous Scrovegni Chapel which houses a famous fresco cycle by Giotto, considered a masterpiece of Western art.
Make sure you visit Café Pedrocchi, one of the most famous coffee houses in the world, located right in the city centre.
A walk in Prato della Valle, one of the symbols of Padua as well as being the largest square in Padua is one of Europe's largest (90,000 sqm), is virtually compulsory.

Verona 152km

Verona is situated on the Adige river, about thirty miles east of Lake Garda. The Basilica of San Zeno in Verona is considered a masterpiece of Romanesque style in Italy. Make sure you visit the largest open-air opera house in the world. Visit the balcony of Romeo and Juliet, the inspiration behind Shakespeare's famous tragedy. Oh, and indulge in a slice of Verona’s celebrated Pandoro Verona, the local Christmas cake now known throughout the world.

Trieste

Trieste, home of Italo Svevo and Umberto Saba, is a cultural and religious crossroads. See the exceptional Miramare Castle overlooking the Gulf of Trieste, just a few miles north of the city, and built in accordance with the wishes of Maximilian of Habsburg, Archduke of Austria and Emperor of Mexico, and later to become the home of Duke Amedeo d'Aosta.
Make sure to visit the Giant Cave that opens onto the Carso Triestino, the plateau located behind Trieste. The spectacle is striking because of the cave’s unique proportions, and the skilful lighting used to highlight all that nature has created.

Vicenza 112km

Vicenza is known as the city of Palladio and it is one of the most important art centres, a destination for cultural tourism with visitors from all over the country and abroad. The town is part of UNESCO’s world heritage. The Basilica Palladiana, rebuilt in 1549, is its most famous public building. Try one of the typical dishes: baccalà alla vicentina (salt cod Vicenza-style). To the South-West of the town is the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Monte Berico, which is said to have been the site of two apparitions by the Blessed Virgin.

Cortina 163km

Cortina. Having driven through historic city of Vittorio Veneto (associated with the events of the First World War), you will journey through the Fadalto Pass where it will be possible to stop on the banks of Santa Croce Lake. Having crossed Ponte nelle Alpi and Longarone you’ll arrive in Cadore, a mountain district rich in greenery and picturesque landscapes.
Approaching your destination you'll be able to catch views of some of the Dolomite's most famous peaks: the Sorapis, the Antelao, the Pelmo and the Cinque Torri (Five Towers). Once in Cortina it will be possible to visit Mount Faloria, which can be reached from Cortina by using the cable car service. The mountain’s summit offers a spectacular panoramic view of Cortina and the surrounding area, with the red Tofane mountains, the Crystal mountain and other marvellous peaks.
During the return journey you will stop briefly at the Misurina Lake, one of Italy most picturesque Alpine lakes (only about 30 minutes away from Cortina).
